Class Information
Classes are held on a Saturday morning in Henley on Thames. Productions are performed at the Kenton Theatre, Henley on Thames (twice per year). Currently our Saturday morning venue is Sacred Heart Parish Hall, Walton Avenue (www.sacredhearthenley.co.uk/map.html)
The classes are divided in to different age groups. There will be fluctuation and variation to accommodate numbers each term, but generally the classes are set out thus:
| Class A1 | 3.5 - 6 year olds | 9.00 - 09.45 |
| Class A2 | 3.5 - 6 year olds | 9.45 - 10.30 |
| Class B | 6. 5- 8 year olds | 10.30 - 11.15 |
| Class C | 8.5 - 10 year olds | 11.15 - 12.15 |
| Class D | 10.5 - 12 year olds | 12.15 - 1.15 |
| Seniors | 12.5 years plus | 1.15 - 2.15 |
The above ages are an indication only. Occasionally it will be beneficial to move a child up or down even if they are slightly in or out of the brackets above. This is at the Director's discretion.
HCTG believe that to maximise a child's concentration span it is preferable to keep the class time short (as we have for more than 40 years) in order to get the best out of the children in an intense class time.
Seniors are required to attend longer rehearsal sessions in the run up to a production.
